Dear Church Family,
Over the past several months, our congregation has experienced significant change. Through this time of uncertainty, many of us have wondered what the future might hold. Yet through it all, God has remained faithful and so have the people of this congregation.
We are excited to share that a new minister has been appointed to our church! Rev. Shane Pair, an ordained United Methodist minister and a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air National Guard will lead our church with a wealth of knowledge, experience and steady leadership. We also learned that Rev. Pair is currently serving our country and will not be able to begin serving with us until November 8th.
We are also grateful that we will be guided during this transition by a highly respected intentional interim pastor, Rev. Dr. Smith, beginning July 1st. Intentional interim ministry is specifically designed to help congregations navigate seasons of change with care, stability, reflection, and vision. Rather than simply “filling time,” this interim period gives us an opportunity to strengthen our foundation, continue healing, and prepare ourselves well for the arrival of our new minister.
This season may not look exactly as we expected but God is at work in this church. We believe our congregation has an important future, and we are thankful for the faithful people who continue to pray, serve, give, and walk together through both uncertainty and hope. We ask for your prayers for our incoming minister, for our interim pastor, for church leadership, and for one another. Most importantly, we ask you to remain engaged and worship with us, invite others, support our ministries, and continue being part of the work God is doing here.
